great game, looks very nice and polished, the game feels great to control, great job to your son! also it's insane that this was made in 3 hours with the sheer amount of polish
The game itself is good, but what am I supposed to do? there is no timer and there are 5 lives but each life resets my size so why are there lives?
conclusion: this game has a very good base but there are small details that make it not as fun as it should be (that is the result of doing a game in 3 hours).

Like an arcade game, like the original Asteroids
the one thing you could make is that asteroids couldnt appear in or near the player but beside that, very cool!
